INSPECTION & EVALUATION
This program helps pin point problems. (Are all the drive sections turning properly? etc.) This often leads to quick fixes, such as tightening, cleaning and oiling chains, alignment adjustments on the sheer, checking the oil in the gearbox and inspection of the electrical systems. This can usually be done in 1 hr.
COMPREHENSIVE INSPECTION & SERVICE
This list has been compiled from years of experience and in conjunction with the major machine manufacturers. This program has been suggested to be the basis of a regular 6 months preventative maintenance program. It suggests that as the inspection is done, the broken items are properly fixed (no quick fix). E.g. If a switch does not work, a new one is installed. If the oil in the gear box has deteriorated, it is replaced. If a roller has burrs and marks, they are buffed out. Detailed alignment procedures with running samples are done to evaluate the quality of the product. This service usually takes 3 to 4 hr. To service gutter machines, we will need about 100 ft of coil material for each machine, as the inspections and adjustments require actual running conditions. Further, this means that power (110-volt AC) must be available. Also, we need end caps, connecting clips and hangers so we can ensure that the gutter format is correct.
MAJOR PARTS REPAIRS
Internal broken and worn out parts often mean major disassembly of the machine. Special tools like presses and chain breakers are required. Wherever possible, we always purchase parts from the original manufacturer. But standard parts from local suppliers like bearing are quicker to get. This work is usually done on an hourly rate and with material at cost plus 10% for handling. Warranties are as stated by the parts manufacturer
